Results to the vote (Aug. 30, 2026)
Church Family,
Following this morning’s worship service, Grand Avenue Baptist Church gathered for a called church conference to vote on the proposed governance model and the replacement of our Constitution and Bylaws.
The motion passed with the following vote:
424 – Yes
24 – No
448 – Total Votes Cast
We are incredibly grateful for the participation of our church family throughout this process. Thank you to everyone who attended listening sessions, asked thoughtful questions, offered feedback, prayed for our church, and participated in today’s vote.
We are also thankful for the many leaders who invested significant time, prayer, and careful consideration into developing and reviewing these documents. Our desire throughout this process has been to establish a governance structure that provides clarity, accountability, and healthy leadership as Grand Avenue continues to pursue the mission God has given us.
As we move forward, we recognize that a vote concludes a decision, but our calling remains the same. We are one church family, united around one mission.
Thank you for loving Grand Avenue, investing in its future, and faithfully serving Christ together.
