Preschool

We have a FUN, SAFE,  and CLEAN place for you to bring you preschooler here at Grand.  Each of our babies are assigned their own bed that is just for them. They seldom get used due to our teachers never wanting  to put them down. Our classes are staffed with trained and loving people, whose goals are to make every child and family  feel welcome, wanted, and loved.  We use a check in system that will ensure that we will have your child's name,  allergy alerts  and a phone number so we can text you if needed. Children can only be picked up by the person that brings the corresponding security tag back to the classroom for pick up. Our goal is to create the best possible environment to meet the  needs of our children, where they can begin building  their foundation of faith that will someday lead them  into them becoming disciples that Worship Grow and Go.

Preschool Ministry uses a mixture of Lifeways Bible Studies for  Life and The Gospel Project, to teach Preschoolers scripture and stories from the Bible.  We rotate our classes so they get a variety of activities  including: Worship, Craft, Story Time, snack and some free play time.

Preschool Ministry uses a check-in system that ensures each child is picked up by only the person the Parent gives the pick up tag to.  The tag also lets each teacher know who the child is,  who they belong to , allergies, and a phone number for texting if the parent is needed.  We have a video monitoring system throughout the building and security person in the building when Preschoolers are present. Our workers have been trained and are background checked.

Preschool Ministry disinfects and sanitizes, rooms, toys, beds, swings, and bouncy seats weekly.  If you have a baby in the baby room, each child is assigned their own bed.  Sheets are changed before each session. However, don't expect to see them in the the bed much, because our workers and volunteers love to hold and play with them all. 

We celebrate Parent/Baby dedication twice a year.  We celebrate on Mothers Day and on the 2nd Sunday in November.  Parents will attend a Milestone class that teaches about the importance of teaching your faith at home and partnering with your local church to help them in grow in their faith. Parents Night Out is currently on pause due to Covid exposure concerns. This event usually correlates with the school year calendar.  On the 2nd Friday of each month, for $10 per child (discount given for families of 3 or more kids),  parents can sign up and bring their child to church from 6:00-9:00 PM. The children will  have dinner and play with their church friends while you get some much needed alone time. We ask parents to be sure to sign up by the Wednesday before each event and to be sure to cancel by Thursday at noon if for some reason your child can not attend. Last minute sickness or emergencies are understood, please just let us know as soon as you can.

Each year Preschool gets to participate in VBS.  We have rooms available for our babies and toddlers each night  for workers and volunteers.  Our VBS rotation classes start with our 2 year old classes (for volunteering families) and 3-Prek for everyone else.  Children spend each night rotating between, Praise and Worship time, Bible Story, Snack and Recreation, and Arts and Crafts.  This is one of the best weeks of every year due to the wonderful Parents and Volunteers that make this event a great success.

Preschool ministry is staffed with a mixture of paid staff, parents and wonderful church members.  Our paid staff have been trained in first aid and CPR and are there to meet your little ones  needs. Our parents and other volunteers help out on a once every 6 week rotation schedule that enables us to provide the best quality care for every child that comes into our care. We ask everyone that volunteers in preschool ministry to fill out a background check form before working in rooms with our children.
