Sao Paulo | BRAZIL

Sao Paulo, Brazil, is one of the largest cities in the world and home to the largest university in South America, Sao Paulo University. Within this city and around the university live people from all over the world who have come to study and work. This presents an incredible opportunity to reach people for Christ who are from places that are normally very difficult to get. Brazil has a rich history of staunch Catholicism, but Evangelical Christianity has been growing rapidly for years.

WHY?

The reason that our church is in Brazil is because a former staff member, Steve Moore, lived there with his family for 10 years as an IMB missionary. He continues to have a great relationship with an incredible man of God in Sao Paulo, Jose Liberio. Liberio has started a church and a campus ministry very close to the University of Sao Paulo. He is also the head of university work for the Brazilian Baptist Convention and helps to plant churches all over the country near other university settings.
