Mission Moment

Aug 14, 2022    Scott Ward

Community Rescue Mission is a faith-based nonprofit in our city that works with homeless families with children. Not only do they provide them a nice shelter and feed them, but they also mentor them to get them back on their feet again.

They are providing an opportunity for us to serve. They are needing groups to come in one evening per month to cook and serve the evening meal. The meal is served at 5:30pm, except on Wednesdays which is at 5pm. A group only needs to be about 4 or 5 people. They also have a chef on site that will have everything ready to go, so it is very simple.

Your Mission Rep has the calendar with the openings on it. Please choose one and let me know - scott@grandfamily.net.

Also, they are needing so back-to-school supplies for their kids. Please try to bring them either to the church or directly to Community Rescue Mission this week. They are needing... juice boxes, snacks, folders with prongs, pens, 3 subject notebooks, kids socks, and baby wipes.

Surrendering the Secret:
In conjunction with First Choice Pregnancy Medical Center, we are launching a regional abortion recovery Bible study entitled Surrendering the Secret. This is an 8-week LifeWay Bible study that we will host beginning in September. If you are interested, contact jennifer@grandfamily.net.
