Dear Grand Avenue Baptist Family,

This coming Sunday Morning in our 10:30 AM Worship Service we will observe both ordinances of our church: Baptism and the Lord's Supper. While these will occur in the service, we will also sing worship songs, pray together, preach the Bible, and call all of us to respond to God. Your presence and participation is important. Pray for Sunday, our Lord's Day! Then, on Sunday evening at 5:00 PM we will have our Annual Business Conference.

Standing For Truth in a Deceptive Culture is the message this coming Sunday Morning from Titus 1:10-16. This passage and message is a pivotal message for all followers of Jesus Christ. I will be talking about our personal lives, families, and yes, our church. Please pray for me.

Last Sunday in the message from Titus 1:5-9, about Setting Things in Order For Church Leadership, I concluded the message elevating God's Word about the role of the Pastor. In those final words, I shared the following:

We may be a church without a pastor, but we are not a church without a direction.
|
Today God has reminded us what He wants from His church leaders.
|
God has also told us in Acts 1:8 that we must be all about reaching Metro-Fort Smith, Arkansas, America, and the World for Jesus Christ.
|
We must be a church with our city, our state, our nation, and the world on our hearts-driven to reach people for Jesus and unashamedly proclaiming: You must be born again!
|
Thank God, He has given us direction! Let's go Grand, and let's do this all to God's glory!

I want to give you an update on something very important relating to our present and future. Within the last month I asked Will Guyton to have the 12.75 acres reappraised that the church purchased in April 2025 that is located on 4401 Massard Road. We engaged the Ken Colley & Associates firm to do this. I felt this was important to do because it has been a major concern of many in our fellowship and we need to prepare and know the options for the future of the church. We cannot be unclear with one another and expect all to be in alignment relating to these kinds of matters; therefore, I wanted to know the present reality.

I want to thank Will Guyton for working with this firm to get this accomplished and I wanted to share the results with you, Grand Family. We did not know if the property was holding its own financially, losing its value, or increasing in value. These are the facts:

This is good news and we are grateful to God.
|
The church has some major decisions to make about the future and we need to make them based upon the facts, the realities, the missional vision of our church, and the Lord's leadership in everything. If God leads the church to relocate in the future, due diligence will call you to investigate all the best options, of which this Massard Road property is one of those options. The good news is that it is increasing in value. However, if the Lord directs the church to remain in its present location, then the church will have a decision to make about what to do with the property on Massard Road.

Finally, the great news church family is when we obey what God wants us to do, the future will be as bright as the promises of God.
