Please mark your calendars for SUNDAY, AUGUST 16th: KICKOFF DAY HERE AT GRAND! School begins on Wednesday, August 12th, and August 16th is the day we want EVERY MEMBER PRESENT OR ACCOUNTED FOR! Join in our Community Groups at 9:15AM and Worship Service at 10:30AM.

This means that every member is asked to be PRESENT on this Sunday OR at least ACCOUNTED for. Community Groups, Choir, Orchestra, and any other groups: Look at the people on the roll for your groups and let's make every effort to go after EVERY MEMBER BEING PRESENT OR ACCOUNTED FOR, meaning we really know where they are if they are not here. We need to care for our members and work, pray, and strategize to re-engage with everyone since school will be in session by then.

Our college ministry is doing a campus-wide "REACH AT THE AMP" event on Wednesday, August 19th, on the campus of the University of Arkansas in Fort Smith. This worship service will take place outdoors on campus, and the entire night will be led by our Minister of College Students, Jonah Morrow. He will also preach the Word of God. Pray for Jonah as he preaches and ask God for a spiritual breakthrough on this campus; a genuine spiritual revival and awakening to occur, resulting in many coming to faith in Jesus Christ.

While Grand Church is resetting our focus on reaching the metro area of Fort Smith, we also are committed to sending our people across America and the world for gospel advancement. This is why this week we have some of our Students in Provo, Utah, on mission advancing the gospel. Pray for them as they wrap this trip up and for safety in travel on Saturday as they fly home. Also be in prayer and consider taking part in our upcoming mission trips to Japan and India. Stay tuned for further details.

I want to thank you for honoring the Lord by giving the first tenth God gives to you through our local church at Grand Avenue Baptist. As you know, we established a 16-Week Summer Financial Goal that will fund our Ministry Budget fully from Memorial Day Sunday through Labor Day Sunday. We are now 10 weeks into this initiative and our people have given $683,997, which is a glory to God alone. We are just $216,003 from reaching this goal with six weeks to go. Thank you.

Prayer is where the power is, so please pray personally and pray together. The church needs to overflow with prayer and be radiant with the glory of God. Prayer is the key to the future of Grand Avenue Baptist Church.
